Role: Vice President, Tampa – Heavy Civil Infrastructure
Salary: $300-350k base salary + attractive benefits
Location: Tampa, FL
Hamilton Mayer has exclusively partnered with a leading U.S. contractor specializing in complex and challenging heavy civil and infrastructure projects across the nation. They seek a Vice President to lead their operations in the Tampa, Florida region. This key leadership role plays a crucial role in driving strategic growth as they are expanding geographically in the area, exceeding client expectations, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of Tampa operations, including project acquisition, execution, budgeting, staffing, and client relationships.
- Develop and implement a strategic regional growth plan, identifying and pursuing new market opportunities aligned with group’s overall corporate objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners throughout the Tampa Bay/Florida area.
- Oversee all project delivery within the region, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and adherence to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Recruit, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, identifying and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance a competitive advantage in the region.
- Represent the organization in the Tampa community, actively participating in professional organizations and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within the heavy civil and infrastructure markets, including highways, bridges, rail and transit.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic business development, client relationship management, and project execution.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of construction budgeting and cost control.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve ambitious goals.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical business practices.
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus, but not essential.
