A leading construction firm in the US specializing in the execution of large scale mission-critical facilities seeks a highly experienced Superintendent with a proven track record in data center construction to join their Large Projects Group in Dallas. This confidential role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of field operations on a state-of-the-art data center project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Field Operations: Manage and direct all daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate and supervise the work of multiple subcontractors, ensuring seamless integration of various trades (electrical, mechanical, structural, etc.).
  • Safety Leadership: Implement and enforce a comprehensive Safety program, fostering a safety-first culture on the job site. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout construction, verifying that all work meets or exceeds specifications.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions to ensure timely project completion.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and manage the project budget, tracking costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and assess potential risks, develop mitigation plans, and implement strategies to minimize disruptions to the project.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of assistant superintendents, foremen, and field personnel, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Client Communication: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the client, providing regular progress updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Extensive experience as a Superintendent on large-scale data center construction projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of critical power, cooling, and security systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of data center construction methodologies, including modular construction, prefabricated components, and specialized MEP systems.
  • Safety Expertise: Proven track record of implementing and enforcing robust safety programs in complex construction environments.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and project team members.
