THE BUSINESS:

Hamilton Mayer International is working in close partnership with a top 20 ENR rated construction firm in the US. This ‘industry giant’ is looking for an outstanding Senior Superintendent, a veteran of the construction world, a Rockstar who can offer their exceptional expertise in ground-up construction to a growing team in San Antonio, with particular focus on concrete frame and steel structures.

SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Responsible for running large vertical projects from the ground up, with construction values ranging from $40-80m upwards.
  • Create and manage budgets for all assigned projects.
  • Conduct project meetings, while setting milestones and formulating monthly owner reports.
  • Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders.
  • Perform project scheduling; ensure project quality control and establish overall project logistics.
  • Manage the closeout process efficiently.
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs while explaining how these needs could be met by specific company services.
  • Oversee and coordinate planning and scope development, specification and drawing preparation, equipment and materials planning.
  • Ensure overall quality and project control is at the highest standards.
  • Providing project reports to the owner and senior leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ground-up, concrete structure, steel frame expert, specifically focusing on markets such as healthcare, manufacturing, high-rise and automotive.
  • Background delivering projects valuing between $40-80m upwards.
  • Will have excellent planning ability, empathy and compassion to build an industry leading team around them.
  • Mastery of reading construction drawings; tasks including reading, interpreting, and updating construction project-related designs.
  • Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
  • An expert in lean construction techniques will be highly advantageous for this role.
