Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduling Manager to be located out of the California Buildings District office located in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the P6 scheduling database at a district level, including set up new projects, maintain templates and layouts, set up user permissions.
  • Prepare proposal schedules.
  • Assist project teams with issues, questions and support related to the use of P6 software and general scheduling. Work with corporate support.
  • Depending on needs, may assist in planning and scheduling during preconstruction and design phases. Assist with scheduling on specific projects where needed.
  • Help project teams as needed to develop baseline schedules, cost load, update, revise, record delays, and prepare reports and visual tools.
  • Continuously improve your planning and scheduling skills and contribute to improvement of project/district scheduling processes.

Depending on ability and experience, you may also…

  • Help project teams to use the Last Planner System in their planning and scheduling.
  • Work with Virtual Design team to develop 4D schedules.
  • Provide training to staff in P6 software and general scheduling.
  • Conduct periodic schedule assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, ask questions and communicate clearly and effectively, including spoken, written and visual communications.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of people including district management, field staff, estimators, marketing, corporate support, clients and trade partners.
  • Ability to listen, understand and find answers to help solve scheduling related problems.
  • Understanding of basic planning and scheduling principles.
  • Ability to work with a team in planning and scheduling a construction project.
  • Ability to see the big picture and how details relate to each other.
  • Understanding of field construction operations and how a building is constructed, including logical sequencing of work.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts and proposal documents.
  • Working knowledge of P6 scheduling software. Knowledge of cost and resource loading is helpful, but not required. This business uses the current version of P6 Web and P6 Professional in an enterprise environment.
  • Desire to continuously learn and improve.
