Role – Project Executive – Entertainment Venues

THE BUSINESS
Hamilton Mayer International is honored to be partnered with one of the most prominent general contractors in the US construction sector. Our firm has been asked to help identify exceptional talent in accordance with a Project Executive opening in Orlando. The brief is simple, the core focus of this search is to uncover individuals with specific expertise in entertainment venues/theme parks, i.e., having worked with clients such as Walt Disney and Universal Studios in the past.
THE ROLE
- Leading a portfolio of projects across the Orlando region valuing c$100m each.
- Responsible for leading all field operations involving multiple projects requiring leadership.
- Lead a collaborative field planning process using short interval planning and production tracking.
- Create construction schedules, perform regular updates, monitor subcontractor relationships, and insert new activities and impacts where required.
- Coordinate jobsite logistics and maintain impactful relationships with neighboring occupants.
- Negotiate with authorities having jurisdiction to achieve project occupancy milestones.
- Be fully accountable for everything that happens on site from leading operations, health & safety, training, scheduling; to working on change orders with the client should this be necessary.
- Main point of contact with the client/owner through entire project delivery lifecycle.
- Delivering on Procurement strategy with overall control and management of subcontractors.
- Develop Pre-construction strategy for securing business critical projects in the future.
- Site based throughout the construction phases, and in doing so create a respectful environment of team collaboration across the region.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Will have experience delivering projects to the value of $80-100m.
- A background constructing entertainment venues such as theme parks will be preferred.
- A minimum of 15yrs industry experience, ideally working in general contracting.
- A General Contractors License with the state of Florida is desired, but not essential.
- Knowledgeable of Lean Construction techniques.
- Will be a great communicator.
- Excellent Leadership credentials.
