Project Controls Manager – Infrastructure 
Salary: $185k + Attractive Benefits inc. lucrative expenses and ESOP
Location: Boston, MA

Role Overview

As a Project Controls Manager, you’ll join a leading US general contractor at the forefront of the construction industry. You’ll mentor the team, oversee complex infrastructure projects, and drive financial and operational success.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Cost Management: Developing and managing project budgets (highways, bridges, track & tunnels) pipeline expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Schedule Management: Creating and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar software.
  • Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks to ensure timely delivery and avoid cost overruns.
  • Change Management: Implementing effective processes for managing changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Reporting: Preparing regular progress reports and financial statements for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analyses, prepare cash flow projections, and track project profitability.
  • Resource Allocation: Optimize the allocation of resources (labor, materials, equipment) to meet project objectives.
  • Earned Value Management: Utilize earned value techniques to measure project performance and identify variances.
  • Claim Management: Prepare and negotiate claims with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with project quality standards and specifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project controls or a similar role in civil engineering construction.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or other project management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
