Role: General Superintendent – Mixed Use Hospitality / Multi-Family
Location – Sacramento, CA
Salary – $200,000-$250,000 + Excellent Benefits
THE BUSINESS:
Hamilton Mayer International has been approached on behalf of a large general contractor with annual revenues of $4BN. Our task is to help identify exceptional talent for an immediate opening for a General Superintendent responsible for managing projects located in Northern California.
The successful candidate would fill one of two separate Sacramento mixed-use projects currently in preconstruction with scheduled starts 4th Quarter of 2021. Both projects have estimated construction costs of $110M to $115M.
There will be longer term opportunities to lead projects in San Jose / San Francisco.
SKILLS NEEDED:
- Responsible for running multiple large projects from the ground up, with construction values $100m upwards.
- Ideally will have a track record successfully delivering projects in mixed-use and hospitality sectors.
- Create and manage budgets for all assigned projects.
- Conduct project meetings, while setting milestones and formulating monthly owner reports.
- Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders.
- Perform project scheduling; ensure project quality control and establish overall project logistics.
- Manage the closeout process efficiently.
- Oversee and coordinate planning and scope development, specification and drawing preparation, equipment and materials planning.
- Ensure overall quality and project control is at the highest standards.
- Providing project reports to the owner and senior leadership.
- As a leader, you must be as available and inclusive as possible for your team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hospitality and / or multi-family experience on projects with contract amounts of at least $100M and building heights of not less than 15 stories.
- Experience with structural concrete and structural steel buildings
- Large project experience in Sacramento and / or San Francisco Bay Area
- Experience with Last Planner / Pull Planning.
- Introducing and maintaining a culture of positivity.
- Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
