Role: Director of Mission Critical

Hamilton Mayer is leading the search on behalf of a top name in the US construction market. The organization is a major player and is respected for its attention to detail when constructing challenging projects to tight timescales and quite frankly, sometimes difficult clients.
We’re seeking to recruit a Director of Mission Critical open to a new challenge, and would like to join an organization where they can make a real impact on the growth and development of the department they will be leading.
Role:
- This individual will be fully present in overseeing field operations, responsible for the assisting the delivery of a high-profile mission critical projects valuing $250m+.
- Strong experience delivering large design-build solutions for data centers, mission critical facilities and high-tech projects
- Lead the construction of complex building scenarios to schedule and within budget.
- Proactively manage client expectations and report to owners and architects about progress.
- Select and coordinate the work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project to ensure fluency.
- Oversee proper financial management processes are followed including creating monthly financial forecasts, project’s profitability and revenue margins, subcontractor payments, and a timely project close-out working in partnership with the Executive Leadership team.
- A ‘boots on the ground’ leader.
- Minimize exposure and risk in the project and identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
Key experience required:
- Prior Mission Critical knowledge required.
- 18yrs+ industry experience.
- Advise senior leadership on the effectiveness of related deliverables being achieved on behalf of the client/owner.
- Will be an effective/collaborative leader, giving their teams a sense of empowerment to achieve personal and company objectives.
- Will have a good understanding of emotional intelligence and thought leadership.
