Business Development Manager – Heavy Civil

Reports to: Senior Vice President
THE BUSINESS
Hamilton Mayer International is proudly working with a highly regarded and well respected U.S. general contractor with a particular focus on the heavy civil/highway market.
Our primary focus is to identify an individual to support the Florida Businesses (Heavy Civil Construction, Asphalt Paving, Landfill and Material Recycle). The Position would be based out of the corporate headquarters in Orlando. The successful appointment will need to have FDOT Design -Build experience, technical writing skills, and would be willing to pursue work and develop relationships with private clients (Walt Disney, Universal Studios and Florida Hospital.
THE ROLE
- A meticulous role that will require the individual to be a self motivated, hands-on driven person that wants to succeed.
- Unrivalled understanding of the U.S. Infrastructure market, which will be biased towards highways, bridges and large-scale transportation projects.
- Track, manage, prioritise and develop win strategies for potential opportunities, ensuring they meet company objectives and targets.
- Develop relationships and structure teaming approaches with regional design firms, owners and clients
- Proven knowledge on how to pull together JV teams who in turn will work with designers/estimators to ensure bids are accurate and cost effective on Design-Build projects.
- Be the standpoint, number one point of contact when ensure a clear communication line between contractor, owner and site teams.
- Think outside the box to offer clients new approaches, ideas and strategies suited to the company’s strengths.
KEY EXPERIENCE
- A key player in the Florida infrastructure market.
- Will have a proven track record of previous wins/successes in the heavy civil/highway sector.
- Long-term relationships with clients/DOT’s will be Invaluable.
- Located from Orlando, but travel will be required.
