Role: Business Development Director – (Building)
Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Remote)
Salary: $200-250k basic & Attractive Package
THE BUSINESS:
Hamilton Mayer International is proudly working with one of America’s formidable players in the construction market. The Building Division require a Business Development Director with a successful track record driving regional growth across California, focusing primarily on the private sector, as well as local/state clients. Ideally, we are seeking individuals with experience generating growth in the following market segments: multifamily, healthcare, hospitality, higher education, office, student housing or industrial.
THE ROLE:
- The 10-year plan (decade of growth) involves hiring a senior regional player in California, focusing on supporting the West Coast achieve its long-term growth aspirations.
- Immediate need for an executive leader for the San Francisco office, however, this role will be remote.
- Help drive business success in obtaining $150m-250 million revenue a year.
- Identify, evaluate and document potential clients and opportunities.
- Track, manage, prioritize and develop win strategies for potential opportunities, ensuring they meet company objectives.
- Develop long-lasting relationships and structure teaming approaches with regional design firms and contractors.
- Actively guide, participate and assist with Qualifications and Proposals development.
- Assist teaming efforts for Joint Ventures and Design-Build Projects.
- Enthusiastically participate and help lead internal processes and approvals on critical bidding activities.
- Think outside the box to offer clients new approaches, ideas and strategies to assist with their own objectives.
- Become an active member, if not already with multiple relevant organizations in the region to help promote company brand.
KEY EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 15-20 years industry experience driving regional growth in the building sector.
- Can demonstrate previous experience securing multi-million frameworks with relevant clients.
- Be an asset when working with the preconstruction teams.
- Can predict and adequately forecast future growth advising executive leaders monthly.
- Will have a general contractor background as applicants from design-consultancy won’t be suitable.
