Role: Area Manager – Infrastructure
Location: Washington DC
Salary: $200k-250k base salary + Excellent Benefits
Business:
Hamilton Mayer is working in close partnership with a prominent general contractor with annual revenues of $1bn. The organization is well known for managing complex heavy civil, design-build P3 transportation projects across the US.
Role:
- Lead the construction of complicated design-build heavy highway/infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic.
- Role includes transit capabilities to effectively manage teams to deliver projects to schedule and within desired budgetary requirements laid out in preconstruction with the owner.
- Proactively manage client expectations and report to stakeholders and leadership on key project outlines and deliverables.
- Understand controlling activates for the entire project and effectively communicate overall project plan to the leadership team.
- Select and coordinate the work of subcontractors on various phases of the project, keeping a close eye on schedule and potential cost overruns.
- Ensure proper financial management processes are followed including creating monthly financial forecasts, project’s profitability and revenue margins, subcontractor payments, and a timely project close-out.
- Minimize exposure and risk in the project and identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
- Responsible for creating a work environment where everyone involved in making the project a success feel valued to the point where they want to bring their ‘A-game’ each, and every single day when coming into work.
